Company Profile:
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its Congressional Charter and the principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
The Dayton Area Chapter provides emergency assistance and community service throughout Greene, Montgomery, and Preble counties. It is part of a nationwide network of over 1,000 American Red Cross chapters that operate under standards set forth by the American National Red Cross.
The Red Cross is not a government agency. Its services and programs are made possible primarily through voluntary and financial contributions from the community. As a fundraising partner, the Dayton Area Chapter receives a portion of its funding from the United Way.

The Dayton Area Chapter is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and supported by approximately 1,500 volunteers and 60 paid staff.
