Always looking for solutions for his clients, Mr. Wofford thrust CDO into the fast-paced world of e-business solutions, information assurance, automatic identification technology, software engineering, network engineering, workflow/ data imaging solutions, video teleconferencing, and design engineering.
Mr. Wofford grew CDO from two employees to over 200 since 1995. His major energy was centered on business contracts with the Department of Defense, State of Ohio, Department of Energy, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Air Force Institute of Technology, 20 school districts throughout Ohio, Procter & Gamble, and a variety of other commercial clients. His fair business practices and astute management style were acknowledged when he won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for minority businesses, Dayton Business Journal FAST 50 Award and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist.

History ...
Starting in 1995, with just himself and one employee, Al Wofford, President and CEO, had a vision of building an innovative, fast-growing company that could rapidly tap the possibilities of an emerging revolution in communications technology. Today, that company has more than 200 employees and annual billings that have topped $18 million.
The company, CDO Technologies, Inc., has become a leader in turning technology into innovative solutions. CDO's products have made progress in government, commercial, and educational markets. Several of them have become industry-wide standards, such as the Tool Accountability System (TAS) product in the United States Air Force.
CDO added an engineering division in 1999. Valu-Tech's core capabilities are industrial based mechanical and electrical engineering and design. This includes definition engineering, design, procurement specification, construction and start-up support.
In 2002 CDO established Valu-Pac, a contract manufacturing arm, and Valu-Train, a non-profit training organization.
CDO has expanded from the corporate location in Dayton, Ohio and now has additional offices in Cincinnati, OH, Montgomery, AL, and O'Fallon, IL.
