CETCON, Inc./Tulsa, Oklahoma
Company Summary:
With a unique array of EPA stack testing services and combustion consulting expertise, CETCON (Combustion and Environmental Testing CONsultants) is committed to uncompromising emission measurement quality.
Due to stringent federal regulations, today's operators of combustion-fired equipment demand highly accurate emissions monitoring and combustion consulting. CETCON is a company solely dedicated to this high-tech field.
Utilizing specially designed mobile testing laboratories for stack testing, CETCON services can be provided directly to your plant site and requires minimal response and set-up time. All equipment and procedures are in accordance with U.S. EPA Reference Methods. CETCON also provides field maintenance service and training for fire equipment.
Mission Statement:
CETCON, Inc. (Combustion and Environmental Testing CONsultants) will provide comprehensive environmental source emission testing services to the gas processing, petrochemical, electric utility, pup and paper and general manufacturing industries.
CETCON's environmental testing services will be unparalleled in industry and performed while maintaining the highest commitment to safety, quality, professional ethics and conduct.
CETCON's testing standards will meet or exceed all of the reference method requirements of the U.S. EPA Code of Federal Regulations.
CETCON Services:
Engineer Evaluation:
Preliminary test establish compliance and opacity emission limits. Emission source and combustion process analysis provides operations or engineering personnel with information to reduce stack emissions.
CETCON evaluates fire equipment performance and performs "tune-up" for optimum operating efficiency in accordance with API RP 532 format and ASME Power Test Codes.
Source Emission Testing:
Stack testing is conducted from a mobile testing lab where emission data is recorded for EPA compliance, plant information purposes, equipment modifications or long-term testing. In an effort to provide same day data and emission evaluations CETCON maximizes the use of on-site analytical methods and on-site GC analysis for measuring pollutant concentrations.
CETCON equipment can also measure combustion parameters within high temperature combustion zones. Temperature, percent and the gas composition analysis can be performed with high temperature environments such as incinerators.
Continuous Emission Monitor Systems (CEMS) Certification:
CETCON conducts Performance Specification (PS) and Quality Assurance (QA/QC) test for CEMS as defined in 40CFR, Part 60, Appendix B & F and Part 75, Appendix A.
Combustion Consulting:
CETCON goes beyond testing to actually help solve combustion problems by providing combustion consulting as part of our testing services.
- Evaluate low NOx emission equipment.
- Evaluate fuel-fired equipment specs
- Evaluation of flare emissions and energy recovery solutions using CETCON'S specially-equipped GC trailer.
- Conduct and/or review thermal (steam/air) decoking.
Fired Heater Training:
CETCON provides training for plant operators, unit operations support and unit engineers in the safe, reliable and efficient operation, start-up and shut down of fired heaters. Topics covered in the training course include:
- Fired Heater Basics
- Burners
- Draft
- Combustion
- Control and Operation
Why CETCON is superior to other stack testing services:
CETCON has more than 20 years of working knowledge and operational experience with combustion equipment such as fired heaters, utility boilers, incinerators, calciners, gas turbines, SRU's, HRSG's and internal combustion engines.
CETCON produces "same day" data (real time emission results). this saves the unit operator valuable time towards reaching compliance. It also allows for a reasonable discussion with the governing agencies at test times rather than waiting several weeks for "Final Results".
CETCON produces repeatable results (measured vs, calculated). This is crucial when submitting recommendations for bringing non-compliance units into compliance with equipment modifications and/or replacement. Inconsistent data can lead to lost expenditures and non-compliance.
CETCON data can be used to improve efficiency, maximize unit run time and minimize equipment wear and damage.
CETCON provides combustion consulting and understands combustion equipment. This knowledge gives the capability to intercede on the client's behalf to negotiate with State and EPA Representatives to develop alternate or modify existing testing procedures.
CETCON recognizes abnormal test data and can recommend solutions. Early detection of unusual test data can lead to operational corrections, resulting in quality data collection and avoid non-compliance test results.
