Effective December 15, 2003, Vertex Aerospace LLC became L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, reflecting the acquisition of Vertex by L-3.
L-3 Vertex (formerly Vertex Aerospace) is a leading provider of aerospace and other technical services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies, including the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Customs Service, Drug Enforcement Administration and NASA. Our services include logistics support, maintenance, repair and overhaul, supply chain management and pilot training.
We support military training aircraft (such as the T-6A Texan II and T-34C Turbomentor), tactical aircraft (such as the AH-64 Apache helicopter and B-2 Spirit stealth bomber), cargo and utility aircraft (such as the C-12 Huron and C-9 Skytrain) and other defense-related platforms (such as the Patriot missile system and the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank.) In aggregate, we support over 1,900 active fixed and rotary wing aircraft and other vehicles representing more than 75 platforms. We have an extensive global presence with over 6,300 employees and operations at 323 sites in 32 countries.
