Stratcor

Stratcor is one of the world’s leading vanadium producers and suppliers of Stratcor® vanadium products used by the steel, titanium, and chemical industries.  Vanadium strengthens steel by as much as 25%, allowing more efficient use of steel components in everything from cars and trucks to buildings and pipelines.  It also strengthens titanium alloys used in aircraft turbine blades and other aerospace and high-strength applications.   Synthetic-rubber, polyethylene, petroleum, and various other chemical producers use Stratcor®® vanadium chemicals to improve the efficiency of their operations.

Stratcor is a subsidiary of Strategic Minerals Corporation headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut.  Strategic Minerals Corporation was formed in 1986 as a privately-held company.  In 2006, the Evraz Group, a vertically-integrated steel and mining company whose operations are mainly in Russia, bought approximately 73% of the company.  The balance is owned primarily by Sojitz Corporation, a major Japanese trading company.

As a leader in its field, this customer-focused company is positioning itself to support metals and chemicals producers that rely on vanadium to expand their businesses and develop new products.

From raw materials to finished product, Strategic Minerals' vanadium plants in the United States and South Africa adhere to the company's Quality Commitment.  As a result, all Stratcor®® alloys and chemicals consistently meet purity and consistency standards that are unrivaled in the vanadium industry.
