Via Christi Health
We are a Catholic, not-for-profit healthcare system of medical centers, senior communities, health plans, physician practices, research institutes and other organizations serving patients in Kansas, Oklahoma and California. In Latin, our name means "The Way of Christ."
Mission and Core Values
The mission of Via Christi is to further the healthcare ministry of its sponsoring congregations, the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Wichita.
We strive to achieve this through effective networking among our member organizations and in collaboration with other appropriate organizations.
As a Catholic not-for-profit healthcare corporation grounded in Gospel values, we provide leadership and governance in the design and implementation of integrated healthcare and related services.
In unity with the healing mission of Jesus, we profess five core values which embody the foundation of our existence.
These values are:
- Community - The primary bonds of relationship and acceptance, promoting a sense of family and unity both among those being served and among those providing service.
- Competence - The demonstration and development of our capability and proficiency as we work together with respect, cooperation, and professionalism.
- Service - The opportunity to use our gifts, skill, and wisdom in ministering to others to the best of our abilities.

Impelled by Matthew 25:40, "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you do to me," we seek to provide quality healthcare to all people, particularly the poor and underserved members of our society.
