Since our inception Walden has striven to create a seamless continuum of quality behavioral health services for Southern Maryland. As part of our commitment to provide quality community based services, we have developed a network of partnerships with neighborhoods, schools, community agencies and the judicial system.
Our treatment professionals are truly community based and are available 24 hours a day in response to the most challenging treatment needs.
Walden is a nationally recognized behavioral health agency accredited by the Council on Accreditation and licensed by the State of Maryland's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Human resources. Walden is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation.
Walden was founded in 1973 to provide community based behavioral health and child welfare services. Our competent professionals - psychologists, social workers, counselors and addiction specialists - are committed to helping those in need to understand and resolve conflicts and problems that impact their daily life.
Our long history of quality services reflects our commitment to standards of excellence, which promote the health and well being of the community.
