About Us:
Morris Furniture Co., Inc. has a rich history of serving Southwestern Ohio. In 1947 Morris Lieberman, and his son, Bert, opened Morris Furniture Mart in a small store at 444 East Fifth St., near downtown Dayton, Ohio. The philosophy was to offer every customer furniture and appliances at the most affordable price and to provide service that would insure that they would return to Morris. Morris' business grew through word-of-mouth advertising.
Today, Morris Furniture Co., Inc. is one of the largest privately owned furniture stores in Ohio. The company is headquartered in Fairborn, Ohio and is owned by Larry Klaben, who purchased the company in 1998. The company currently employs over 450 associates.
Morris Furniture Co., Inc. owns and operates retail stores throughout southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Morris Home Furnishings stores are located at: 5695 Wilmington Pike, and 2121 Harshman Road. In addition, Morris owns and operates Ashley Furniture Home Store of Dayton located at 161 Mall Woods Drive and 2850 Centre Drive in Beavercreek, Ashley Furniture HomeStores of Cincinnati located at 11755 Commons Drive, and in Northern Kentucky at 520 Clock Tower Way, Crescent Springs, KY, and Ashley Furniture Home Stores of Columbus, 3622 West Dublin-Granville Rd. Morris also operates the Dayton area's only Thomasville showroom at 5675 Wilmington Pike in Centerville and the Midwest Clearance Outlet at 2377 Commerce Center Blvd. in Fairborn, Ohio.
Morris Home Furnishing stores feature the areas' largest selection of home furnishings, mattresses and home theater products all under one roof. The showrooms were remodeled in September 2005 and a new concept was introduced to consumers. We promote these stores as "Ten Exciting Showrooms . . . One Great Store," giving consumers an easier way to shop for furniture, mattresses and home theater. Morris stores are divided into ten exciting showrooms to match our customer's needs. Instead of manufacturer galleries that divide a showroom and duplicate styles for consumers, this concept displays furniture collections together by category. The response from consumers has been very positive.
Morris features the area's largest selection of name brand home furnishings and home theater products from: Berkline, Broyhill, Flexsteel, Lane, La-Z-Boy, LG, Mitsubishi, Sealy, Sony, Stearns & Foster and many more. Many items are available for immediate delivery from the area's largest furniture distribution center, while many custom order items from our design center are ready in as little as 35 days.
Morris home theater showrooms were expanded with the area's most comprehensive display of home theater rooms in the Miami Valley demonstrating home theater solutions for every room in the home. The New Home Theater Store at Morris provides more than just rows of televisions on display. We feature in-home consultation, installation, and home theater design services. We have HDTV experts who help take the mystery out of buying an HDTV.
Morris Furniture Co., Inc. is active in many community organizations and important charitable causes. Morris proudly supports University of Dayton and Wright State University basketball, The Human Race Theater, The Children's Medical Center of Dayton, United Way, Muscular Dystrophy, and many other area organizations.
