Responsibilities:
Provide full time support to the Navy Combat Identification Capabilities Organization (CIDCO) in the areas of Blue Force Tracking (BFT) and Combat Identification (CID). Work in a small team supporting the Navy's Office of Primary Responsibility in the areas of BFT and CID. Attend meetings / forums in the Joint community and provide subject matter expertise in Ground to Ground and Air to Ground BFT. Assist other subject matter experts in other areas of BFT and CID as required. Utilize expertise and experience to liaison with USMC and US Army BFT and CID counterparts. Will require travel and occasional work in field environments at Joint and Coalition Exercises. May require overseas travel.
Requirements:
BS in related field, plus 10 years experience. Additional eight (8) years experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Knowledge of legacy Marine Corps Ground BFT Devices (FBCB2-BFT, DACT-C2PC, MTX, Grenadier Brat, etc) desired. Marine Corps Communication experience (MOS 06XX), recent Tactical USMC Communication experience at Battalion or Above, prior Communication experience on Navy Staff, and/or knowledge of Army/Marine Corp BFT/BFSA convergence strategy desired.
Demonstrated Staff experience working BFT Convergence Issues at Marine Corps Systems Command, HQMC C4, or MCCDC desired. Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Fluent in Microsoft Office to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to develop email, briefs, point papers and documents independently.
