Description Shift/Days: One day a week from 8am - 2pm.
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
To welcome guests to The Canyons, or to a specific programs/services within The Resort, by providing a variety of information to guests about The Resort and surrounding areas and perform related guest service tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Provide superior service to our guests (internal and external) at all times by following the Guest Service Guidelines and our Passionate Purpose.
·Greet and welcome all guests.
·Assist in ski/snowboard removal in pick-up/drop-off area.
·Provide guests with a variety of information, describing and explaining activities, events, programs and services to guests.
·Accurately answer guest questions and provide them with a variety of information relating to services, products, special items, resort conditions, special events, etc..
·Provide directions.
·Take and assess guest complaint/problems or special requests and direct them to the appropriate person/department for resolution.
·Perform related guest services tasks (i.e., greeting outside restaurants, greeting at the bottom of lifts, greeting in the village, standing in front of trail map signs, greeting at the top of the lifts, greeting in the parking area)..
·Give “meet the mountain” and/or other guided ski/snowboard tours.
·Assist with general resort clean up.
·When rotating station monitor slopes for guests who need assistant; call the appropriate department to provide assistance (i.e. Ski Patrol).
·Perform other tasks as assigned.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Director of Guest Services
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
·Exposure to inclement weather conditions.
·Standing or walking in one area.
·Ability to ski or snowboard
QUALIFICATIONS
·High School education or equivalent, plus two years of relevant customer service or public relations experience or a combination of education and experience form which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
·Intermediate or better skiing/snowboarding ability along with an enthusiasm for the sport.
·Knowledge of local area preferred.
·Ability to converse clearly and comfortably with a variety of different types of guests.
·Ability to work outdoor in all weather conditions for long periods of time.
·Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
