Description:
The City of Garden City is seeking a UTILITY WORKER I at the Wastewater Collection System. The candidate for this position should possess an understanding of sanitary sewer collection systems.
This individual must be able to be on-call during evenings and weekends, run heavy equipment, have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis. Must be willing to learn all operations of the collection system including but not limited to; line cleaning, line inspections, chemical root control and manhole repair and rehabilitation. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Depending on experience, certifications salary range is from $12.53 to $18.80 plus an excellent benefit.
