Reliability Engineer

This job reports to the Engineering & Services Manager

Relocation is provided and travel is not required.

This is a Full-Time position.

Overview
Dow Corning, a U.S. based, multinational corporation and global leader in the silicon-based industry seeks a Reliability Engineer for a position at our Elizabethtown, Kentucky facility.

Must have un-restricted employment authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Skills/Requirements

The Elizabethtown Site Reliability Engineer utilizes the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to strive to reduce production equipment downtime losses and improve productivity of their processes. The Reliability Engineer is also given the opportunity to work independently to coordinate capital and expense projects in their respective process areas. They interact with all site production and support functions, equipment vendors and the site central shops to ensure that their Customer's needs are met.

Desired Qualification: Bachelors Degree, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering - Strong technical, oral and written skills are required. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, as well as external vendors and suppliers. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word and Excel. Prior SAP procurement and maintenance module experience is a plus. Previous experience with Six Sigma, Total Effective Equipment Productivity/Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Total Productive Maintenance are also a plus.
