This position will assist the Service Director in the day-to-day operation, repairs and upkeep of an apartment community. This person must be able to tactfully communicate one-on-one with a variety of residents as well as co-workers, and complete the duties as assigned by the Service Director or Community Manager in a workmanlike manner. Alternating on-call duties will be required.
Required Experience:
Must be able to lift, pull, carry or hoist heavy objects weighing 50 lbs or more; climb ladders or stairs; work on roof tops; bend, stoop and shovel, and tolerate prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license. Type I and Type II (CFC) certifications in Proper Refrigerant Practices are required. An understanding of plumbing, electrical and HVAC is also helpful, as are painting and some carpentry skills.
