Summary Of Position:
Responsible for minimizing credit losses and maximizing credit recoveries through reasonable and prudent management of the credit recovery function, ensuring the department’s compliance with laws/regulations, operating policies and procedures; organizing/prioritizing the department’s work, activities and human resources; directly supervising assigned personnel; and providing periodic reports.
Required Education:
An Associates Degree in a related field is preferred; or, equivalent combination of education and specialized banking/corporate experience related to credit recovery/collections.
Required Experience:
Previous experience with personal computers, Word and Excel software and office equipment is also required.
Required Skills:
Must have thorough knowledge of F&M Trust’s Lending Policy, commercial and consumer loan documents, financial and loan accounting, F&M Trust’s procedures regarding real estate and personal property liquidation valuation methodologies, internal audit controls and common legal terminology. Must have working knowledge of Pennsylvania’s Banking Code, Pennsylvania’s Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Act, Articles 9 of Pennsylvania’s Uniform Commercial Code (Secured Transactions), property interests and concurrent ownership, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Pennsylvania’s Unfair Trade Practices Act, federal bankruptcy law and all federal lending regulations. Also required are strong communication skills; well-developed interpersonal skills (with service orientation); demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills (with the ability to effectively facilitate and manage change); and above average organizational, project management and analytical skills. Must have the ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with fellow bank employees and customers. Must be able to work at a pace that ensures that established deadlines are met.
