Breeder Service Technician
Job Location: Southwest Missouri
Job Summary:
Due to continuous growth, George's Inc., a fully-integrated poultry company, located in SW Missouri has exciting new opportunities.
- Help coordinate functions and work with other techs in the Breeder Department - Working with contract growers on a daily basis to promote the Breeder Department program with regards to feeding, watering, lighting, egg handling, ventilation, bio-security issues, general husbandry, etc
- Weighing birds on a weekly basis and adjust feed amounts to meet weight goals
- Keeping accurate records on bird weight, feed amounts, and egg production
- Checking feed tank inventories weekly and ordering feed for breeder farms and coordinate feed orders with the feed mill.
- Meeting delivery trucks on pullet placement days and helping put chicks down
- Ability to work in hot and cold conditions as well as adverse weather conditions and work a variety of hours as well as long hours periodically
- Care and up-keep of a company vehicle
- Following bio-security program
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Skills Required: Applicant is required to possess a poultry science degree or two years poultry related experience. Must be self motivated and able to work dependently Must have strong time management skills. Must have good communication skills in both verbal and written form. Must be a team player, committed to Continuous Improvement. Some computer skills required
