Job Description:
The Service Leader is responsible for contributing to, coordinating and leading initiatives to accomplish the financial, operational, customer service, quality and safety goals for this service line.
The Service Leader is expected to accomplish this through effective relationships with:
Direct report leaders
Peer Service Leaders
Peer leadership, Administrators and Officers of the organization
Employed and independent physicians
Patients and their family members
Regulators
Vendors and Consultants
The Service Leader works together with the Human Motion Services Physician Administrative Leader (PAL) to accomplish the satisfaction, quality, safety and financial goals. The pair will accomplish this through the Medical Director and Team Leaders within this service line. The priority is to gain commitment on the goals and activities to achieve "world class" Medical service. The service will represent an alignment of all specialties under this service line.
SCOPE OF ROLE
The Service Leader reports to the Administrator of the Medical Center, who reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the organization.
The Service Leader is responsible for the HRMC inpatient outpatient operations of:
Outpatient Therapy
Inpatient Therapy
Inpatient Ortho Unit
Inpatient Neuro Unit and Neurosurgery
* IV Therapy Team
Mental Health Unit
Total service line staff encompasses over 160 FTEs and oversight of a $14 million operating budget.
Focus will be given to insure that all negotiated levels of service are met within the service line. Further, the incumbent will insure that all negotiated levels of service are met within the service line. Further, the incumbent will insure that techniques for measurement of improvements are benchmarked in each area.
Job Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Masters Degree in a clinical or health care management discipline preferred.
LICENSURE:
Appropriately licensed/registered or certified as required by health care field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five years of management/leadership experience required. Previous experience in rehab highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL/MOTOR SKILLS:
The incumbent will possess a set of skills including, but not limited to team leadership, conflict resolution, listening skills, the ability to select and develop a competent team leader staff, and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the enterprise. The successful incumbent will maintain skills in process improvement and change management through knowledge of the clinical and technical skills needed to meet high quality outcomes.

Self-confident individual with a strong drive to achieve superior results. Skills in process improvement and change management. Skills to develop processes to be used to respond to all customer groups. Possess excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
