HR Anew is a human resources consulting and professional services firm located in Columbia, Maryland. We help employers recruit, educate, survey, and retain their employees. We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join our client's human resources management team.
Under general direction and supervision of the Human Resources Manager/Director, performs full-cycle recruiting activities in the Human Resources Department. Assists visitors with employment applications and supplemental employment materials. Schedules/arranges meetings, interviews, job fairs or other appointments. Extends hiring offers or communicates withdrawals or declinations. Enters/maintains/updates applicant data and verifies automated and manual information and records for the organization. Provides technical support in the implementation, analysis, revision, and maintenance of human resources and other applicable automated systems. Communicates/interacts with vendors, outside agency representatives, organizational personnel, and other parties regarding recruitment functions and activities. Develops recommendations to improve/increase productivity or the effectiveness of a served area by assessing needs and submitting recommendations. Indexes, classifies, codes, enters, updates and retrieves recruitment file records, charts, reports or documents and performs routine file maintenance. Locates and retrieves applicant records, job files and automated reports as required while identifying deficiencies or checking for missing job or applicant information. Recommends for approval and implements changes to administrative recruitment policies and procedures as well as applicant management systems. Prepares routine correspondence, memorandums, reports, meeting/interview notes and other documents. Assists with internal human resources support activities and the coordination of new applicant/employee orientation as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
* Three years of direct full-cycle recruitment responsibilities.
* Ability to operate common office equipment and have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet/Intranet.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
* Must have excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level clearance.
* U.S. Citizenship.
* Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
* Valid state driver's license.
* Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Licenses and Certificates:
* PHR/SPHR and CEBS a plus but not required.
* Familiarity and affiliations with Human Resources organizations such as SHRM.
Job Requirements, Preferred:
* Extensive background in recruitment, particularly with government contracting agencies.
* Membership in Human Resources organizations such as Society of HR Management
