Nursing Assistant--Full-time/Part-time -- Day, Evening, Night shift

Description:
HR Anew is a human resources consulting and professional services firm located in Columbia, MD. We help employers recruit, educate, and retain employees. We have been engaged by a Healthcare organization to identify the best available Nursing Assistants for full time, day, evening, or night employment opportunities for their District of Columbia location.
Position summary:
The primary duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager;
* Provide delegated nursing intervention related to the prescribed diagnoses, therapy and rehabilitation measures for patients;
* Participate in care teams to improve patient care; and
* Assist with research and educational activities as requested.
Qualifications:
* Must possess the ability to work caringly with long term care and geriatric patients; communicate with staff, residents, and family members; and document specific information regarding patient care as required.
* High School graduate or equivalent with the ability to speak, read, and write legibly in English.
* Completion of approved certified nursing assistant training program.
* Possess or be eligible to obtain Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification.
* Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
* Must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America.
* Must be able to successfully complete a reference check and background investigation.
