Recruiting Coordinator / Assistant (Temp-to-perm)

Description:
HR Anew is a human resource consulting and professional services firm located in Columbia, Maryland. We help employers attract, hire, inspire, and retain top talent. We are currently seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team in supporting our client's Strategic Staffing group located in Washington, DC, two blocks from the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro station.
The Recruiting Coordinator will provide assistance to a team of recruiters through activities such as: coordinating schedules for telephone screenings and interviews; maintaining phone screen/interview records as driven by recruiter input; conducting phone screens as needed; conducting reference checks; and preparing reports.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic consulting firm in a high-growth mode in a temporary-to-permanent capacity, supporting a large organization in the energy industry. This is a highly visible support role offering the opportunity to gain experience with cutting-edge recruitment technology, methods, and practices.
Job Duties:
* Set up phone screens as requested by assigned recruiters.
* Maintain Excel database of all telephone screenings and related candidate information as requested by assigned recruiters.
* Conduct candidate telephone screenings.
* Conduct candidate reference checks.
* Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers and appropriate candidates as requested.
* Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets as requested and according to company-standard formatting guidelines.
* Display a courteous and professional attitude when speaking with potential candidates.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong administrative support experience (minimum of 3 years' office experience; prior recruiting support experience a plus).
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Highly-developed interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint), and Internet-based software. Strong proficiency in Excel required.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
* Ability to work well on your own or as a member of an interdependent team.
