We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our client, a rapidly growing Lettershop/Directmail organization serving the Mid-Atlantic Region located in Arbutus, Maryland.
This role will be involved with all aspects of the finance and accounting operations. Solid communication, technology, and analytical abilities a must.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
* Responsible for timely and accurate month-end financial close including preparation of monthly financial reports, monthly account reconciliations and system reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Preparation of detailed account analyses.
* Develop and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, processes, systems, and controls.
* Interact with external auditors for the annual reviews and specialized audits.
Requirements:
* AA/AAS degree in Accounting or related field required; BA/BS preferred.
* 3-5 years related experience preferred.
* Manufacturing experience required, direct mail experience preferred.
* Microsoft Excel experience required. Quickbooks and MTSoft software experience preferred.
* Knowledge of and experience with GAAP, SOX, budgets, balance sheets, and accruals desired.
