Responsibilities
Electrical hardware design of new products related to:
-analog and digital circuits
-RF design
-electromechanical components (motors, interconnect, user interface, etc.)
-Lighting/LED incorporation
-Creating schematics and using circuit design software to produce printed circuit boards
-Research of new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designs
-Prototyping and execution of test programs to verify compliance to all applicable performance, regulatory, and quality requirements
-Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for design modification as required
-Support production facilities in the manufacture and testing of products
-Complete documentation of the design in the required formats
-Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of new and existing designs
-Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance
-Part and vendor evaluation and qualification
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
-7+ years of experience (compensation based on experience)
-High consideration given to candidates with experience with:
--RF Design, MEMS, AHRS, LCD, ARINC 429, rechargeable batteries
--RTCA DO-160/178/254 familiarity, motor control/design, stator design
--Printed circuit layout software (PADS), AutoCAD, Design for Manufacture principles
