Responsibilities: -Conduct aircraft level assessments and prepare documentation, such as: Aircraft Hazard Assessment, Safety Analyses (including FTA and Common Cause Analysis), Zonal and Fire Hazard Analysis, etc.
-Support and work jointly with Reliability and Maintainability colleagues in an ongoing role.
-Review and oversee vendor conducted safety analyses as they relate to the RMAS process.
-Coordinate identification of failure cases that need to be analyzed simulated or tested and will interface with the system and simulation/test groups to provide closure on failure case testing requirements.
Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience.
-Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
-Detailed knowledge of the existing system safety processes and tools used to execute the process.
-Familiar with requirements and guidelines of 14 CFR 25.1309, and AC 25.1309, as well as the RMAS process as contained in ARP4761, and ARP 4754.
-Familiar with the new and upcoming guidance material as it relates to the above.
-5 years relevant experience required.
-Proven systems safety and aircraft certification experience necessary.
-Be willing to travel as necessary.
