SUMMARY:
Develop ideas and suggestions into layouts, drawings and specifications for new products and/or improvements to existing products.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Three to Five years overall experience.
Two years of CAD-Mechanical design
Solid modeling experience in Mechanical Desktop or Pro E
College degree in ag engineering, preferred mechanical engineering
Experience in farm shop maintenance of equipment, or service person for a farm equipment dealer or coop student with an ag related or manufacturing major.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Investigate feasibility of new ideas and machines
Create detailed layouts and models of new machines
Check detail drawings made by AutoCad Technicians and oversee all revisions are correctly made.
Follow new machine/ideas through testing to determine reliability
Work with fabricators on building prototype machines
Interface with all departments to introduce new machines
Work with vendors on parts and processes
