Primary Duties:
Provides professional occupational therapy interventions in caring for neonatal through geriatric patients.
Performs thorough occupational therapy evaluations. Interprets and integrates evaluation findings. This evaluation may be administered independently or under referral from a physician; develops individualized treatment plans based on patient needs identified during initial evaluation or re-evaluations; provides patient, family/significant other, and patient care team education; collaborates with other health care team members in coordinating overall patient care program; monitors patient's response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals; supervises and directs care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants; develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patients in their own environment; documents results of patient's evaluation, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services; maintains service-related records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program or graduate of a WFOT approved occupational therapy program, successful completion of at least 6 months Level II Fieldwork experience; successful completion of AOTA Cert. Exam for Occupational Therapist, Registered.
