Montgomery College is a public, open admissions community college with campuses in Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring, plus workforce development/continuing education centers and off-site programs throughout Montgomery County, Md. The College serves more than 55,000 students a year, through both credit and noncredit programs, in more than 100 areas of study.
Montgomery College, is seeking to compile a database of qualified candidates for part-time teaching opportunities. This applicant pool will remain online and provides the ability for the college to locate interested part-time faculty based on student enrollment needs.
Each semester’s employment of a part-time faculty member is dependent upon the needs of the College and available funds.
* Part-time faculty must possess a minimum of a Associates degree from an accredited college and have a current ARRT registration.
* Part-time faculty positions are Non-Bargaining without benefits.
* Part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teach no more than 10 ESH (equivalent student hours) per semester or 20 ESH per academic year.
* Each part-time faculty member is contracted for one semester at a time.
* Part-time faculty are paid biweekly throughout the semester.
Part-time Faculty- Radiologic Technology
This job posting is for applicants who wish to apply to the College’s part-time faculty applicant pool for Radiologic Technology.
Education & Training:
* An Associate Degree from an accredited college or university.
* Candidate must be an ARRT registered RT in good standing.
* Must have a minimum of four years current, post graduate employment in Diagnostic imaging which includes experience in routine and fluoroscopy studies.
* Strong computer and software skills including the use of MSOffice, PowerPoint, and email experience.
Preferred:
* Experience in portable and OR imaging.
* Previous experience working with students clinically is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
* The primary duties and responsibilities consist of instruction in the clinical facilities which include:Weekly visits to assigned clinical sites.
* Documenting student clinical hours.
* Grading and assessing clinical competencies and evaluations.
* Counseling students on issues or compliance to program and clinical policies.
* Communicating to the clinical coordinator regularly
* Attending two on campus meetings a semester.
* Coordinating clinical assignments and rotations of assigned clinical site.
* Ability to travel to one or more clinical sties across the metropolitan area
Qualifications:
Part time faculty must possess a minimum of an Associates Degree from and accredited college and have a current ARRT registration. Maryland license is preferred. Ability to teach in a multicultural setting. Previous experience working with students clinically is preferred
