Montgomery College is currently seeking applications for part-time faculty positions in our academic ESL program, the American English Language Program. Positions are subject to student enrollment.
Job Vacancy Description:
Part-time faculty in this position will teach ESL courses designed to prepare nonnative speakers of English for college success. Depending on academic preparation and experience, faculty may be hired to teach writing, reading, and/or speaking courses. English as a Second Language Faculty (Part-time) - Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus
Required:
* Master’s degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, or a related field with 15 graduate credits in TESOL.
* Prior experience teaching ESL.
Preferred:
* Experience working with multicultural and international students in a post-secondary academic setting.
* Experience using the Internet to access student data
* Experience using technology in teaching.
* An understanding of and enthusiasm for community college students and the mission of the College.
Part-time faculty positions are Non-Bargaining without benefits.
