Each semester's employment of a part-time faculty member is dependent upon the needs of the College.
Part-time Faculty- Volunteer Assistant Field Coach
Education & Experience:
Must have previous coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level and have a working knowledge of all field events pertaining to track and field.
Qualifications:
Must have a good driving record (2 points or less).
Purpose:
Responsible for assisting in the administration and development of the intercollegiate track and field team.
Duties:
Helps plan and implement the operation of the track and field program. Recruiting participants. Share responsibility for administration/implementation of budget spending. Maintains current knowledge and abides by NJCAA/MD JUCO policies, rules and procedures. Attends NJCAA/MD JUCO meetings, clinics and seminars. Maintains necessary records. Monitors eligibility for the track and field team. Monitors study tables for academic retention and assist in the advising of students on their academic progress. Works closely with Athletic Director and head coach. Responsible for safety of players during meets, practice and travel. Demonstrates integrity and upholds the values and mission of the College. Supports total athletic program. Assists in weight room supervision. Committee assignments and other duties appropriate to skills and training as assigned by supervisors. Contributes to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the division; helping other accomplish related job results as and where needed.
