About the College:
Montgomery College, with campuses located in Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring, is seeking to compile a database of qualified candidates for Lifeguard positions. The Office of Human Resources receives requests to fill temporary lifeguard positions and will use this pool of candidates to help fill those positions.
Job Summary: Positions are responsible for providing life guarding services, monitoring access to the facility, cleaning and maintaining the pool and related areas, performing special event preparation, set-up and breakdown and other duties as assigned. Work schedule will vary. Early morning, day, evening, and weekend work my be required. Salary is $10.50 per hour.
Qualifications: All applicants must be currently certified as a lifeguard in accordance with the Montgomery County Health Department including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certifications. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions as well as the ability to routinely perform physically demanding tasks involving swimming, heavy lifting, prolonged sitting and standing, stooping, climbing and reaching are required.
Experience: Experience working as a lifeguard is preferred.
