Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position are PC hardware and software support for the CEAT-ITS Windows, Macintosh and Unix/Linux system platforms; project management of PC hardware and Unix/Linux server projects; test, recommend and implement system security for operating systems and applications; train computer lab managers on new software and hardware; serve as backup to systems analyst in the area of account creation and maintenance; backup administrator for CEAT-ITS distributed computing environment.
Education and Experience Required Degree Bachelor's Experience: Three years work related experience in the use, support and maintenance of computer hardware and software; network problem trouble shooting; project management; computer security; Server maintenance; Training. Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge Proficient in oral and written communication. Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Strong analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Excellent inter-personal skills. Ability to program in C, C++, shell scripts.
Preferred Field of Study: computer related field Degree: Bachelor's Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer related field and 5 years work related experience in the use, support and maintenance of computer hardware and software; network problem trouble shooting; project management; computer security; Server maintenance; Training.
