Brief Description
Performs various activities related to operations, maintenance, measurement, instrumentation, construction and corrosion activities.
Detailed Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs primary job functions of multiple disciplines such as but not limited to (as specified by position).
2. Performs activities related to operation and maintenance of storage facilities (as specified by position).
3. Inspects and maintains various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems, and related equipment (as specified by position).
4. Performs work related to gas and/or liquids pipeline system operations including (as specified by position):
5. Performs activities involved in the design and maintenance of corrosion control systems (as specified by position).
6. Performs activities related to measurement functions including installing, testing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining orifice, positive, and dry-flow meters, regulator settings, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and relief valves (as specified by position).
7. Performs activities related to operation and maintenance of compression station facility including but not limited to operating and maintaining (as specified by position):
8. Performs activities related to mechanical work on equipment at a compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation, and/or gas processing facility including but not limited to doing mechanical work on (as specified by position).
9. Performs activities related to welding operations in fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines and related facilities including but not limited to (as specified by position).
10. Performs activities related to operation and maintenance of oil and gas liquid processing facilities including but not limited to (as specified by position):
11. Exchange information regarding operations, maintenance, measurement, and other activities with public/governmental officials, employees, contractors, customers, producers, and land owners.
12. Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
13. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
14. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
1. Demonstrated ability in use and function of equipment related to operations, maintenance, measurement, instrumentation, construction and corrosion activities.
2. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities to complete work assignments.
3. Application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of algebraic formulas.
4. Experience and training related to (as specified by position):
o Oil and gas operations and maintenance
o Computers, related software, and tools related to specific discipline
o Governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes
o Company policies and procedures including safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high pressure systems.
5. Demonstrated ability reading and interpreting repair orders, drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
6. Demonstrated ability preparing, processing, verifying records, safety and environmental reports, schematics and diagrams, and material and supply orders.
7. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:
1. Applicable driver's license.
2. Applicable certifications as required by position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 25 times a day; up to 20 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 30 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 40 pounds 3-5 times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
2. Climb and/or maneuver over, under, and around engines, pipe racks, and equipment while servicing, maintaining, and/or repairing. Ability to work on elevated work surfaces.
3. Fine motor skills for making minute adjustments.
4. Ability to work in confined areas.
5. React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
6. Able to operate tools and equipment as required.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions.
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to differentiate between colors.
2. Sufficient to perform precise tuning/timing work.
3. Sufficient to perform job duties.
