Brief Description
Inspects and maintains various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems, and related equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Install, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate/adjust, and maintain the following equipment including but not limited to:
o Calorimeters
o Gravitometers/Densitometers
o Chromatographs
o Telemetering systems
o Moisture analyzers
o ESD systems
o Electronic odorization systems
o Flow computers
o PH and conductivity probes
o Instrumentation
o Meter tubes and orifice plates
o Satellite equipment
o Analytical equipment
o Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and remote terminal units and equipment
o Distributed Control System (DCS)
o Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems
2. Perform preventative maintenance and/or analytical testing on compressors/engines, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
3. Maintain electrical power circuits, switch gear, and power distribution.
4. Install and maintain security/intrusion systems.
5. Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
6. Maintain and/or prepare reports and/or records including but not limited to:
o Maintenance and repair records
o Safety and environmental reports
o Mechanical drawings
o Electrical schematics and diagrams
o Pressure readings
o Material and supply orders
o Loop sheets
7. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
8. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
1. Working knowledge in use and function of reciprocating or gas turbine engines, compressors, and electronic and processing equipment applicable to position.
2. Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including but not limited to:
o Manual/power tools
o Electronic testing devices
o Control devices
3. Demonstrate ability with instrumentation, electronics, tools and control systems.
4. Application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of algebraic formulas.
5. Experience and training related to:
o Gas processing fundamentals
o Computers and related software
o Governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes
o Company policies and procedures including safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high pressure systems.
6. Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
7. Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings, and material and supply orders.
8. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:
1. Applicable driver's license.
2. Applicable certifications as required by position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 25 times a day; up to 20 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 30 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 40 pounds 3-5 times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
2. Climb and/or maneuver over, under, and around engines, pipe racks, and equipment while servicing, maintaining, and/or repairing. Ability to work on elevated work surfaces.
3. Fine motor skills for making minute adjustments.
4. Ability to work in confined areas.
5. React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
6. Able to operate tools and equipment as required.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions.
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to differentiate between colors.
2. Sufficient to perform precise tuning/timing work.
3. Sufficient to perform job duties.
