Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced & technically proficient Electronics Product Development Team Leader to lead and provide technical advisement to cross-functional engineering teams in the development of complex electronic products. This position is well suited for an experienced and business-minded Engineer who is looking to take on more responsibility for customer satisfaction and the overall success of a project, OR a seasoned project manager who is seeking diversity in projects, technologies, industries and customers.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams.
* Direct resource allocation.
* Facilitate team meetings and communication.
* Develop and present project proposals.
* Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
* Manager the customer relationship.
* Ensure customer satisfaction.
* Develop long-term customer relationships.
* Initiate future business.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited institution.
* 5 years electronics product design experience in the Networking/Datacom, Medical, Commercial/Industrial or *Defense industry.
* 2 years experience in a leadership role on a product development team.
Additional preferred qualifications:
* General knowledge of printed circuit board design.
* Working knowledge of the electronic assembly process and the electronics industry.
* General knowledge of in-circuit test, environmental stress test, and functional test strategies associated with the electronic assembly process.
* Knowledge of hardware, firmware, PCB and mechanical development processes.
* Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of computer aided engineering (CAE) tools
* Experience in estimating resource allocation requirements and project schedules.
* Good leadership and team building skills.
* Ability to handle demanding schedules and pressures.
