Job Summary
Responsible for the programming and maintenance of computer numeric controlled production equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
This position may involve knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with the utmost discretion.
1. Programs and maintains the computer numeric controlled production equipment.
2. Works with others to ensure that production schedules are met.
3. Work with Production Managers, Engineering and other company personnel as needed to ensure the equipment is programmed correctly in order to meet production needs and customer requirements.
4. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
5. Completes projects and reports as required by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Ability to interpret aircraft blue prints and specifications.
2. Ability to program and maintain the computer numeric controlled production equipment.
3. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the composite manufacturing field.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with employees and customers.
5. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
6. Ability to perform basic and more complicated mathematic fundamentals - add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
7. Ability to use PC computers and have command of Microsoft software - Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and others as needed. Use of company computer systems (as trained).
8. Positive customer service and ability to work with others in a team setting. Regularly works effectively, and relates well, with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the company. Exhibits a consistent professional manner in all situations.
9. Understanding of the inner workings of the company, and can answer questions asked by internal and external customers.
10. Strong knowledge of the aerospace industry is preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes for aircraft composites is essential.
11. Strong motivation and self-starting initiative is required.
12. Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
13. Ability to operate effectively in a time-sensitive environment in order to meet deadlines.
14. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to apply logic in problem solving for both internal and external customers.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in area of specialty is preferred.
2. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
3. Strong command of computer skills is required:
a. Programming required for the equipment in the factory.
b. All Microsoft Office software used by the company
c. All related company systems - will be trained in these systems.
4. Ability to interpret aircraft blue prints and specifications.
Required Safety Training
1. Annual hazardous waste handling training for all employees
2. HazCom annual training for all employees.
3. Emergency Action/Fire Prevention annual training for all employees.
4. Personal Protective Equipment annual training for all employees
5. Access to employee exposure and medical records one-time training for all employees.
6. Bloodborne pathogen annual awareness training for all employees.
7. Lockout/tagout annual awareness training.
8. Confined space annual awareness training.
General: Maintain personal productivity and quality standards as determined by supervision. Follow standard departmental/company practices and procedures as outlined by management. Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition.
