Job Description
The Software Engineer will provide software engineering solutions for Qbase initiatives. They will contribute expertise and provide practical applications in software design and engineering as Qbase develops solutions unique to our value proposition. The employee will be active in brainstorming solutions as well as in the design and coding of those solutions. The Software Engineer will participate in a variety of customer interactions, work with raw data, perform ETL functions, use various analytical tools while producing useful work product. The employee will grow and advance Qbase’s expertise in customer data processing and management. They will create, deploy and manage software solutions as we undertake complex challenges in aggregating multiple, diverse datasets.
Knowledge and skills:
Must be a team player with strong collaboration skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Development environment and tools
Working knowledge of multi-tiered system architecture and development
Knowledge of C++, C#, ASP.Net, Relational Database (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL), Visual Studio .NET coding skills, XML, Operating Systems (Windows 200X/NT)
Practical experience in development and application of software solutions
Experience in translating user requirements into usable software components
Experience in full software development lifecycle including design, code, test, release, and support
Education and work experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in computers or related degree
2-4 years experience using back-end databases such as MSSQL or Oracle in solutions for production applications
Background in Human Factors Engineering a strong plus
