Job Description
The PC technician at Qbase is a company-wide resource supporting employees with technology requirements. The technician is responsible for PC’s, laptops, peripherals, cellular devices, smart phones and desk phones. The technician also coordinates facility tasks and acts as a liaison between vendors and the employees. The PC technician reports to the Chief Engineer, Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Configure and deploy new laptops and desktops to employees
Coordinate warranty repairs of laptops, desktops and associated peripherals
Provide level 1 technical support and troubleshooting to employees for laptop, desktop and network connectivity issues
Act as a liaison between the employees and the Network Operations Center. Coordinate escalation of technical issues to the network operations center (NOC) when required
Manage inventory of laptops, desktops and associated peripherals
Manage company relationship with cellular phone provider including acquisition of new devices/service, migration of phone numbers from various providers, device configuration, end user training for Blackberries, inventory and inventory control of cellular accessories, and act as the first level of support for end user device and service issues
Coordinate technical requirements for traveling executives including internet access, cellular service/capability and special device/peripheral requirements
Manage all aspects of building/suite access and security including additions/removals and modifications to the door card system(s)
Manage company relationship with property management and associated vendors for all work sites. Act as company liaison for employee requests related to property management and associated vendors
Coordinate and prepare facilities for company team meetings including preparation of conference locations, technology validation (telephone, remote communications and webcam configuration)
10% local travel to Springfield, OH work site

Ability to prioritize work load and meet strict timelines
Education and work experience:
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or greater a plus
Associates degree in IT or MIS related field
One year administration experience with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows Server
One year administration experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Project, Power Point and Outlook
One year experience with Blackberry and Blackberry Enterprise Server in a corporate environment
