Job Summary:
- Approximately 10% travel required.
- Call on major customers in the oil and gas industry. Accounts include end users, engineering firms, drilling contractors, fabricators and OEMs.
- Product presentations to prospective clients, end users and engineering firms.
- Work closely with factory personnel for products represented.
- Develop relationships in all levels of client organizations including procurement, engineering, project planning, management and maintenance departments.
- Specify core product lines on upcoming projects, as well as securing orders from procurement for day-to-day material requirements.
- Coordinate with inside sales for preparation, timely return and follow up of quotations.
- Penetrate existing accounts as well as develop new accounts in the industry in order to meet sales goals as set forth by management.
- Accurate and timely reports of calling efforts to management through the use of CRM software. Assist in developing sales plans and strategies to penetrate markets and accounts.
Skills Required:
- Prefer BS Degree from accredited university (preferably in engineering or technical/science discipline) preferred or equivalent experience.
- MUST HAVE five (5) to seven (7) years minimum outside sales experience.
- MUST HAVE three (3) to five (5) years minimum outside sales experience in the oil and gas industry calling on end users, drilling contractors, fabricators, OEMs and/or engineering firms.
- MUST HAVE knowledge and experience in valve and valve automation, instrumentation controls, PVF and tubular products.
- Professional appearance and demonstrated selling skill success in the oil and gas industry.
- Contacts and knowledge of prospecting for new contacts and projects, developing specifications for company products, developing complex quotations and closing sales.
- A willingness to continue personal growth through various industry and sales training programs or material provided by the company.
- Membership and networking in various oil and gas organizations in the Houston area.
Compensation/Benefits:
Base salary $65 to $85K plus commission ($100 to $150K in total monies). Car allowance and gas card.
