Job Summary:
- Perform complex field service operations that typically present unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience.
- Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements.
- Lead the performance of assigned field services projects such as Installation and Startup of company products. May be responsible for direction, analysis and reports involving complex test projects.
- Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts. Guide less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment. Often work non standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
Skills Required:
- Associates degree in engineering or related field plus five (5) to nine (9) years of experience OR a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Requires thorough understanding of company products and equipment, engineering concepts and practices.
- Requires ability to select most effective approaches and adapting standard practices and procedures to resolve complex semi-technical problems.
- Requires strong communications skills and ability to lead less experienced staff.
- Decisions and actions are based on individual knowledge and experience and may affect quality, delay schedules and result in rework as assignments are not subject to close scrutiny. Highly complex problems are referred to engineers or supervisor.
Compensation/Benefits:
$40 to $50K plus bonus potential.
