Job Summary:
1. Work on the design of new products with basic knowledge of castings, material specifications and properties, seals, machining and welding.
2. Modification of existing product as a product improvement or to adapt a product for a specific application.
3. Technical support for customers and sales staff on applications, product performance, testing, product failures, repair and troubleshooting.
4. Perform and record product testing according to detailed instructions.
5. Evaluate returned materials.
6. Communicate with vendors in the resolution of product / component issues and resolutions.
7. Maintain QA documents and instructions. Implement and train on policies and procedures in the manufacturing area.
8. CAD time 25% max.
Skills Required:
MUST HAVE technical degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering field.
Background in valves, sealing, fluid properties, pneumatics and automation a plus. Additional skills include; the ability to work independently, to solve problems and work well with people in a manufacturing and training environment. Good capabilities in the use of business and engineering software packages including MS Office, AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.
Have working knowledge of measuring instruments including calipers, gauges, micrometers, hardness and surface testers, etc. Have technical abilities to understand specifications, codes and quality control system. Good organizational skills and detail oriented. Have a working knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5 - Dimensioning and Tolerances.
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation up to $92K base plus bonus over 10% possible.
