Communications Engineer
Job Location: New Jersey
Salary range:
75K to 110K
Requirements:
BSEE, MS, or Ph.D. Senior Member (6-10 years experience) Principal Member ( more than 10 years experience) in Requirements Engineering and Product Development. US Citizenship required. Secret security clearance or higher preferred, but not required.
Must be able to attain a government security clearance.
Responsibilities:
Designs and develops systems oriented products and prepares related requirements and design specifications and instructions; analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests ;analyzes engineering proposals and related technical data to determine feasibility of assigning new equipment or modifying existing equipment. Compiles operational data and prepares customer application information. Under general supervision, performs moderately complex analysis, design, test or product support assignments in one or more specialized engineering/technical disciplines. Independently applies engineering theory in the analysis, design or development of alternatives where methods and desired results have been defined. Augments the flow/continuity of product design in the fields of drafting/design, engineering writing. Selects applicable analytical data from previous products and determines the technical principles involved. Position involves general use of engineering principles and theories. Provides solutions to a variety of problems. Impact of failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of additional resources. Primarily intra-organizational with frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
Domain:
Knowledgeable in communications systems, especially maritime based, systems integration, systems test, total system effectiveness. Support of hardware and software design, as well as interface to, and support of, complete logistic support, user training, software maintenance, and depots for spares.
