Job description:
Avionics Systems Engineers will support avionics system design and integration activities. Roles and responsibilities center on determining, and then implementing the best value approach for customers. Some of these responsibilities include avionics system architecture analysis and trade studies, proposal preparation, aircraft site visits, customer meetings, requirements analysis and definition, design of aircraft modification kits, development of verification plans and procedures, and integration/verification both in house and at customer sites.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in military avionics product development
- Familiar with hardware and/or software development and integration.
- Experience with avionics and avionic systems integration
- Experience in making business/technical tradeoff decisions
- Good interpersonal skills and experience with customer interaction
- Good communication skills both written and oral required
- Some travel required
- CAN HAVE AN EMPHASIS IN SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE
- Must be a U.S. Citizen; Active Secret Clearance a plus
