Business Development Manager, Avionics

Duties:
Experience CommentsOur client develops, manufactures and integrates avionics systems, products for airborne platforms used by the U.S. and friendly foreign military services. They also provide support for these systems and products worldwide.
Job description:
The Business Development Manager will report to the Director of Business Development and will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and capturing new business opportunities. Will interface with customers to understand their requirements, evaluate technical alternatives and cost tradeoffs, and prepare proposals, white papers and briefings for presentation to customers.
Requirements:
- BS, Engineering degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in military- industrial complex
- Experience in performing business/technical tradeoff analyses
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with military and prime customers
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Proposal writing and/or proposal team leadership experience
- Knowledge of avionics and avionic systems integration
- A creative self starter who is results oriented
Plusses:
- Prior business development experience.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
