Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Program Manager to assist in developing and deploying state of the art designs for on- and off-vehicle control systems. The individual also manages a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivery of hybrid-electric buses and trucks.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
• BSME, BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE with 8+ years of experience in program/project management in an engineering environment
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-project, fast-paced environment, with both customer focused and project-focused programs
• Experience delivering products into the marketplace
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
• Able to utilize planning tools to analyze project information, and perform risk, critical path, and trade-off analysis
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and vendors
• Communicate program status, timelines, and employee performance to senior management
• Develop, implement, and coordinate efforts of the Business, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop an integrated project plan and risk analysis with action plans
• Drive project tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedules
• Track and report status and other metrics against goals on an ongoing basis
• Recognize potential problem areas against the plan and identify and implement alternative solutions
• Raise concerns based on measurement criteria to supervise and provide recommendations to maximize performance
• Manage change control processes, risk analysis, mitigation plan and be responsible for overall project execution
Desired Qualifications:
• Hands-on automotive (mechanical, electrical, wiring) experience
• Experience managing diverse teams consisting of mechanics, assemblers, technicians, and engineers
• Experience with private and municipal fleet managers.
