Embedded Cryptography Software Engineer
Job Location: New Jersey
Salary range:
88K to 115K
Domain:
Systems and products that contain cryptographic algorithms to secure communications links. Real-time, highly reliable telecommunications applications embedded in microprocessor and digital signal processor hardware.
Duties:
Methodologies: Uses Object Oriented or Structured software methodologies to develop embedded applications.
Process: Uses SEI CMMI and/or ISO AS9001 compliant processes to execute assigned software tasks in a team environment.
Leadership: Assigns technical tasks to members of small teams. Reports task progress using written and oral communications. Mentors junior engineers.
Planning: Estimates personal and team effort for assigned tasks. Requirements Analysis: Analyzes Subsystem requirements and identifies Software Configuration Item and lower-level software component requirements.
Design: Defines Software Configuration Item component architectures. Development: Develops real-time embedded applications in structured high-level languages (C, C++, Java) and assembly language. Integration and Test: Defines test plans/procedures and integrates and tests real-time embedded systems.
Tools: Uses minicomputer/microcomputer-based software development tools and laboratory test equipment to produce software and documentation compliant with project standards.
Requirements:
US Citizen, Active FINAL DoD Secret (or higher) clearance is MANDATORY.
BS, BA, or equivalent: Computer Science, or Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Mathematics/Physical Science with substantial software coursework.
MS degree desired. Minimum 5 years related professional experience.
Desirable:
Experience with secure embedded operating systems, trusted software development, cryptographic algorithms, cryptographic key management, industry standard telecommunications protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6), telecommunications secure protocols (SCIP/FNBDT & HAIPE).
