Job Description:
Performs designated patient care and technical duties under the direction of a registered nurse. May perform nurse assistant, monitor technician and/or unit clerk duties. Nurse Assistant’s perform individualized patient-focused care and technical tasks under the direct delegation of a registered nurse that are based on the developmental levels of the department’s specific patient population. Assist patients with the activities of daily living utilizing a patient-centered approach. Cardiac Monitor Technicians observe, interpret and maintain records of cardiac rhythms of patients on cardiac or telemetry monitoring. Unit Clerking involves performing clerical duties in support of the nursing unit including the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience
Required: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology. Completion of a nurse assistant training program, or six months previous nurse assistant experience, or emergency medical technician (EMT) experience, or successful completion of the first semester of nursing school clinical, which includes basic clinical skills.
