Westar Energy is an electric utility serving approximately 647,000 customers in Kansas. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Journeymen Electrician positions in St. Marys, KS, wage rate $30.14. Hours are rotating shifts.
JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS- "shall be responsible for and have the knowledge, skill and ability to install, inspect, dismantle, repair, adjust and reassemble all wiring, lighting, controls, switch gear, motor starters, etc. Journeyman electricians will be responsible to and report to the Maintenance Supervisors/Foremen."
The successful applicant is subject to call outs and will be required to live within 50 minutes driving time of Jeffrey Energy Center. This position requires successful completion of MASS aptitude testing. Successful bidder must be able to read understand and follow written instructions.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
