General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director-Nurse Anesthetists' Program, is responsible and accountable for assisting in the clinical and didactic instruction of graduate students in the program. Participates in direct didactic and clinical teaching activities as appropriate, and assists with the education of the student nurse anesthetists. Participates in policy formulation and review in the maintenance of a Nurse Anesthesia Education Program. Assists with the implementation of Program strategies and in the evaluation of their effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are essential job accountabilities:
1 Works collaboratively with the clinical and didactic faculty of the Nurse Anesthetists' Program and the York Hospital CRNA Clinical Coordinator in maintaining school activities and policies. 2 Participates on program, college, hospital and other committees as required. 3 Assists with the coordination of all aspects of the program, academic and clinical, ensuring patient safety. 4 Participates in the peer review of faculty members. 5 Participates in the admissions procedures including recruitment interviews and selection of students. 6 Participates in didactic instruction, simulation laboratory and clinical instruction. 7 Counsels students regarding clinical and academic performance.
