Job Description:
Configures, implements and supports clinical information systems used in the delivery of patient care. These systems include but are not limited to, documentation, order management and staff scheduling. Manages security for customers requiring access to clinical systems. Collaborates with members of the Patient Care and Information Technology team to optimize clinical system configuration, function and access. Evaluates systems performance problems, customer request for systems changes, data retrieval and participates in resolution. Collaborates with Director of Clinical Information Systems to identify education needs and creates programs to meet those needs. Ensures that sound theoretical and technical criteria are used in implementation of clinical information systems, utilizing the appropriate resources. The Clinical Analyst is responsible for assuring the IT needs support the clinical goals and objectives of the customer. The Clinical Analyst is responsible for assuring the IT needs support the clinical goals and objectives and meets the business needs of the organization. Ensures systems are maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Keeps abreast of current healthcare clinical information systems, does research, attends conferences as assigned. Helps coach and train new employees. Identifies opportunities to improve patient care and stream-line inefficiencies in clinical practice through the use of information systems. Coordinates, prioritizes project plans with Director. Develops policies and procedures, supervises Clinical Analysts.
