National Security Analysis Department
Introduction
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a {insert job title}.
Responsibilities
Provide system administration support for the technical facilities of the National Security Analysis Dept., including the Warfare Analysis Laboratory (WAL).
Provide system administration support of department technical facilities. This includes classified computing systems and networks, video teleconferencing systems, audio/video projection and switching systems.
Provide direct technical support for the events hosted in NSAD conference rooms. This includes operation of its computing and network systems and its audio/video system. This requires significant interaction with APL customers and program/project managers.
Qualifications
Required:
BS or relevant experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical field with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Proficiency in the use of MICROSOFT EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and WORD.
Good verbal communication skills.
2 years of experience with UNIX/LINUX system administration in a networked environment.
Desired:
Familiarity with the configuration and operation of information systems in a classified environment, and with the NISPOM.
Familiarity with video teleconferencing systems, VLANs, and Sharepoint administrati

Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Future needs may require the ability to be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or Polygraph examination. Preference would be for current SSBI.
