The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer.
Responsibilities
Job Description:
Conduct systems integration and analysis in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) defeat and related Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) assessments at a government facility in the Washington, DC area.
Duties:
Lead teams performing CBRNE systems analysis, development, and integration utilizing JHU/APL's resident or acquired capabilities. Document and communicate results to sponsors. Develop, implement, and oversee test & evaluation initiatives associated with CBRNE defeat. Identify capability gaps and develop system requirements and effectiveness measures for new Counter-IED systems. Identify opportunities where JHU/APL can best help sponsors address key technical and operational challenges. Conduct strategic planning and technical roadmap development tasks in concert with personnel at the host facility
Qualifications Required:
B.S. degree in scientific/technical discipline. Demonstrated ability to perform high-level, multi-organizational systems integration studies/analyses in national level programs . Superb written/oral communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical issues effectively. 7+ years total professional experience with emphasis on DoD related analyses.

Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Must be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation. Preference for current DOD clearance. Preference for current SSBI.
