Job Details:
-Master's of Divinity degree or its equivalent is required.
-5 years of previous experience in hospital chaplaincy including Administration required.
-Current ordination and endorsement for specialized ministry from a nationally recognized religious community required.
-A minimum of 4 units of clinical pastoral education as certified by The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) required.
-Current certification as a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains or an equivalent national professional Chaplains' organization or eligibility for certification is required.
Job Duties:
Develops, organizes and directs pastoral care activities ensuring that patients, their families, and staff are provided with resources for their spiritual well-being as part of their health care experience with JHBMC. Develops and maintains relationships with clergy in the community to enhance pastoral car services to patients, families, and staff. Serves as a liaison with a variety of religious groups. Provides leadership to the Medical Center regarding the importance of spiritual health as an integral part of the healing process.
